Herby Keto Chicken Wings with Lemon-Ranch Dip

The hands-down perfect party appetizer, these tender, juicy chicken drumettes and wings develop an amazingly crispy outer skin in the oven, and they take less than 45 minutes to make from start to finish. Serve them solo or with a fantastic creamy, lemony keto Lemon Ranch Dip (see recipe below).

  • 3 Tbsp  plus 2 tsp olive oil, divided

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Line two baking sheets with foil and place them in the oven while it preheats to get them hot.
  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and place them in a large mixing bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of the olive oil, the garlic powder, the dried herbs, 1 tsp salt & ¾ tsp pepper. Toss until the wings are evenly coated with the seasoning.
  • Carefully remove the hot pans from the oven, brush each with a teaspoon of the remaining olive oil and evenly distribute wings across both baking sheets. Place in the oven and cook, turning the wings occasionally, until golden brown and crispy, about 30 minutes.
  • Remove the wings from the oven and drizzle the melted butter over them. Toss to coat and return to the oven for 5 minutes more. Transfer the wings to platter, sprinkle with salt and serve.

  1. I made these only reduced the amounts as I was making them for only me. I also cooked them in my air fryer and they came out great! I cooked them at 400 for 10 minutes then flipped them and cooked them for another 10 minutes for anyone who wants to do them in an airfryer.

  2. The chicken was falling off the bone and delicious but all the skin stuck to the foil and came off when I turned them over. Most of the flavor was on the skin.

    • Sorry to hear that, Natalie. We have not had that experience but next time, try spraying a little olive or avocado oil on the foil.

Perfect wing recipe. Crispy and tender and so flavorful. I added a little cayenne when I seasoned the wings. I also let them hang out in the fridge, covered, for several hours before cooking. Fantastic.

    • Thanks, Shari. We definitely encourage you to play around with spices.

  4. Quick, easy, and tasty. Adding this to my favorite keto recipes.

  5. I am just starting my keto journey, but so looking forward

UM. YUM! The wings are so crispy and the flavor is fantastic. I don’t even need the dip. Just gimme those wings!

I made the wings with ranch dip for my Super Bowl party and they were such a hit with the kids & adults! Absolutely delicious!

This is a great weeknight, easy prep dinner as well as an appetizer. I just double the serving size and macros, and serve with a salad.
