This is very tasty and I often put in some clean vanilla or chocolate protein powder to increase protein content. I also recommend using non dutched cacao if you want the benefits of the polyphenols and anti oxidants that chocolate offers. The dutching process removes most of these benefits.

Oooo I am going to try with my little ice cream maker!!! Thank you!

I loved this. Usually I worry that a smoothie or shake for breakfast won’t feel like I’ve had a meal and that I’ll be hungry way before lunch, but this was totally filling. I followed the recipe as is ,and it was perfect. Normally, I add more sweetener to shake recipes because they’re not sweet enough for me, but this was just right.

    • Well, that makes us happy 🙂. Thanks for sharing!

Amazing! I love chocolate and it’s just that. I do add a scoop of chocolate isolate protein powder just for added nutrition. I’m prediabetic and this satisfies my sweet tooth.

Very good. Followed recipe exactly except needed more ice to thicken. It was a bit too chocolaty for me, but my husband thought it was perfect.

Perfect! It was really good and chocolatey. I will try it with my keto protein powder next.

Fabulous! Thanks for this recipe and other reviewers who used what they had. I used what I had. 1 cup macadamia nut milk, 1/2 cup full fat coconut milk, 1/4 cup palm coconut sugar, 3 tablespoons cacao (bitter so used way less than recipe), 2 tsp vanilla, 1/4 tsp salt. It was a 10 but thin with 1 1/2 cups ice. Next time will use coconut cream. I am lactose intolerant and keto.

So good! I feel like I am cheating. I eat 2 meals a day Aim for 15-1600 calories a day in a 4 hour window. So when I make this I consume it all and call it a meal. After adding nuts and a raw egg I end up with seven hundreds calories. I wish i could fit an avocado in it!! 🙂

This tasted fantastic! I didn’t end up having cream so I replaced it with almond milk which wasn’t a problem. So good and chocolaty, I will definitely be making this again!
