Dr. Sarah Hallberg was the Medical Director and founder of the Medically Supervised Weight Loss Program and Indiana University Health. The program focused on improving weight and metabolic diseases such as diabetes through low carbohydrate dietary interventions. She was a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Obesity Medicine and the American Board of Clinical Lipidology. She held a leadership position within the National Lipid Association and was a lecturer for the Obesity Medicine Association.
Dr. Hallberg created and directed the non-surgical weight loss rotation for the Indiana University School of Medicine where she was an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Medicine. She had a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and was an ACSM Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist. Dr. Hallberg served as the PI for a large ongoing study examining nutritional ketosis as a treatment for type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome. Her TEDx talk on reversing type 2 diabetes has more than 1 million views.
