Where can I buy lancets?
United States
You can purchase lancets on our store here, or at any local pharmacy/drug store at a relatively inexpensive price point. Alcohol prep pads and our Advanced Lancing Device are also available for purchase. Please note that our meter kits come with generic lancets, gauge 30.
Canada
At this time we don’t offer lancets to purchase on our website in Canada, but we are working on it. Meanwhile, you can purchase lancets at any local pharmacy/drug store at a relatively inexpensive price point. Please note that our meter kits come with generic lancets, gauge 30.
Below you can find some of the brands that we’ve tried and confirmed all of them fit the Keto-Mojo lancing device:

- EasyTouch Twist Lancets
- One Step Twist Top Single-Use Lancets
- Fora Lancets
How many times can I use a lancet?
The lancets are sterile and for single-use only. Please dispose of the lancet by following the directions in your lancet box.
How do I use the lancet device?
Our lancet device, included in every Keto-Mojo kit, is the tool you’ll use to collect a small blood sample for your Keto-Mojo glucose or ketone test. It’s simple to use, and you can learn everything you need in just a few minutes by watching this short video. Still have questions after watching? Keep reading for extra tips.
1. Wash your hands
Use warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry with a clean paper towel.
Alternatively, cleanse the test site with an alcohol swab and let it dry.
2. Remove the lancet device cap
Twist the white cap to the right and set it aside.
3. Insert a sterile lancet
Place the lancet into the holder and press it in firmly.
Twist off the protective disk on top (save it for safe disposal later). Do not twist the lancet itself. If needed, straighten it gently.
4. Replace the cap
Snap the cap back on by twisting to the left. It may feel tight—this is normal.
5. Set the depth
The device has 5 depth settings:
Lower numbers = shallower puncture (good for children or sensitive skin)
Higher numbers = deeper puncture (good for thick or callused skin)
Start shallow, then increase as needed to get enough blood.
6. Load the device
Pull the grey knob at the end until it clicks. You’ll see orange in the side button.
7. Puncture your finger
Hold the device firmly against the side of your finger.
Press the orange side button to make a quick, nearly painless puncture.
8. Get a round drop of blood
Gently squeeze or massage your fingertip until you have a small, round drop.
If it smears or runs, dry your finger and try again, or puncture a new site.

How to Properly Dispose of Used Lancets
Lancets are considered medical waste and can be dangerous if thrown in regular trash. The safest way to dispose of them is in a lancet disposal container (often called a “sharps box”). Many pharmacies sell these containers at a reasonable price and will take them back when they’re full.
General Guidelines
Use a lancet disposal container whenever possible. Some hospitals and clinics provide or sell them.
If you don’t have one, use a hard, puncture-proof, non-clear container.
When the container is full, take it to a pharmacy, hospital, clinic, or community disposal site.
While traveling, collect used lancets in a safe container and bring them home for proper disposal.
Safety Tips
Never throw used lancets in the regular trash.
Don’t use clear plastic bottles—they may break or be mistaken for recyclables.
Never put containers with lancets into recycling bins.
Disposal Rules
Rules for disposing of lancets vary by state and region. Check with your local waste authority, garbage service, or the CDC’s website for details.
In general:
Keep all medical waste (lancets, syringes, pen needles, and used test strips) in a secure bio-waste container.
You can place used test strips in a sealed bag before putting them in the lancet container.
Some communities have drop-off locations for full lancet containers—often at police stations, fire stations, pharmacies, health clinics, and hospitals.
