Shake and Bake is San Antonio's Alternative Option for Low-Carb, Sugar-Free Pizzas

PizzaOwner Rudy Ramirez says the menu items and the mission behind his new venture don’t skimp on the sweetness. The bakery was created to honor the memory of his wife Norma Anabel Gonzalez-Ramirez, who died of cancer in April. His son Nicolas Ramirez, and nephew Lorenzo Gonzalez teamed up with Ramirez to make the bakery happen soon after she died.

Before she died, Rudy says his wife asked him to improve his health. At the time he weighed 351 pounds. He’s now 208 pounds. Ramirez credits the weight loss to cutting back on sweets and carbs.
