How long have you been doing keto?
I started on March 19, 2019.
What motivated you to start keto?
I suffered a stroke due to high blood pressure and was told losing weight would help prevent it from happening again.
What benefits/successes have you experienced?
The overall quality of life! No headaches, lots of energy like when I was in my 30’s. Mental clarity, better memory. I’ve even started working out since becoming a part of the Ketosis world.
What was the hardest part?
Learning all the different ways sugar is added to foods I normally thought were sugar-free.
What were the keys or top tools to your success?
Having a support group, learning different recipes, and sharing my story.
Did you measure your ketones and/or glucose and if so, how did that help you?
Yes, and that’s a key component because it helped me focus on where my body is and where I needed it to be. It gave me a goal to aim for which of course is highly therapeutic.
What’s your favorite keto recipe?
Air fried chicken
What tips or words of wisdom can you share?
It’s ok if you make mistakes along the way, but stay focused and the rewards are there for you.
