Drew Decker, PhD

Drew Decker is a dedicated graduate research assistant with a diverse background in both military service and academia. Decker graduated with his Master of Science in Kinesiology with a focus on Health Exercise Sciences in Summer 2024, and his Ph.D while working with the Volek Lab Research Team. His contributions include leading a collaborative study investigating the effects of a ketogenic diet on individuals with Major Depressive Disorder.

With experience gained from his service in the U.S. Army, Decker brings a unique perspective to his academic endeavors, emphasizing teamwork and practical application. Decker aims to bridge the gap between mental health, ketosis, and exercise- a mission cultivated by his experiences, professional expertise, and academic excellence.
