Ketogenic diet reduces seizures, improved blood sugar control, and triglyceride levels

In a comprehensive analysis of multiple studies and meta-analyses, researchers evaluated the impact of a ketogenic diet on various health outcomes.

The results demonstrated positive associations between the ketogenic diet and seizure reduction, as well as improvements in body weight, blood sugar control, and triglyceride levels. Interestingly, the study highlighted the promising effects of very low-calorie ketogenic diets. These showed strong positive effects on anthropometric and cardiometabolic outcomes without compromising muscle mass and without effect on LDL-C or total cholesterol.

These findings underscore the potential of very low-calorie ketogenic diets in supporting overall health and well-being, particularly in weight management.
